The Training Programmes:

Working with chemical requires understanding about the chemical information with regards to the substance, the correct practice of storing, handling, transporting and the use of chemical in the work processes. Understanding the fundamentals of Labels, SDS, use of the proper PPE, and compliance with relevant laws are very important for a safe chemical work environment. Chemical Spills is a common issue in many sites, trained employees will prevent spill from happening, will be able to handle and manage the situation in the event of spillage. The misunderstanding or lack of the subjects may cause harm to the employees and the environment. Greater risk may include fire or explosions as chemical may release harmful substances.

This course will help employees to work with chemicals in safe manner and avoid workplace mishaps.

Safety and Health Committee is formed as a Joint Consultative Committee between employees and employer to manage safety and health at workplace. Workplace incidents need to be investigated, root cause identified and corrective action taken to ensure no re occurrence of the same incident. The Committee is to carry out its duties as stipulated in the regulation. The committee will be trained on how to carry out Workplace Inspection and to carry out Accident /Incident Investigation
This course will help member of safety committee to function in accordance with the law, work effectively, care for and promote safe practices and safe work environment.

The number of incidents that involves industrial ammonia refrigeration system has increased year by year where some cases have led up to injuries and fatalities. This course is intended to provide the knowledge on the Safe Management of Ammonia in Refrigeration system and the New Guidelines on Safe Management of Ammonia Refrigeration system.

HIRARC comprises 3 components namely; HI – Hazard Identification, RA – Risk Assessment and RC – Risk Control. DOSH introduced Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment And Risk Control (HIRARC) Guidelines in 2008 inline with its approach of PREVENTIVE MEASURES as a way of enforcing the law on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). HIRARC replaces Job Safety Analysis which was more of a voluntary initiative. With HIRARC, one will be able to identify hazard, analyze and assess its associated risk and then apply the suitable control measures.

This course will help participants understand the HIRARC procedures to enhance safe work environment, prevent injury and other mishaps.

The Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) standard requires the implementation of practices and procedures to shut down machineries or equipment and isolate it from its energy source(s) to prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy or unexpected start-up while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed. Performing an effective LOTO procedures requires the knowledge about the type energy supplied, the potential hazards and the control protocols. This course will help participants understand the LOTO procedures that will enhance safety compliance and preventing injury during the maintenance, upgrade or services of the machines or equipment.
